A Full-Circle Moment: My Art at the Guinness Storehouse
It's a good feeling when things come full circle. I'm happy to share that two of my prints are now on display at the Guinness Storehouse Experience in Dublin.
It's a good feeling when things come full circle. I'm happy to share that two of my prints are now on display at the Guinness Storehouse Experience in Dublin.
This moment feels particularly meaningful because, some years ago, I was involved in a different project with Guinness that, unfortunately, didn't come to fruition. As artists working with companies, you quickly learn that cancelled projects are sometimes part of the job. It can be frustrating, but lessons are learned.
It's always a good feeling when people connect with the art I create. A huge thank you goes to Canvas Galleries in Belfast. They reached out with the exciting opportunity to have two of my pieces displayed in a space they were curating for a new area within the Storehouse, and it’s humbling to have my work displayed alongside such talented Irish artists.
For interior designers, art collectors, or anyone looking to add a unique pop of colour to a wall or space, these prints represent a significant moment in my artistic journey, and it’s great that these editions now have a direct connection to the Guinness Storehouse Experience, standing alongside such strong examples of Irish art.
If you get a chance to visit Dublin, I highly recommend popping in to see the art in the new space. For me, this particular experience is a great reminder that persistence, even when facing setbacks, can lead to unexpected and surprising outcomes.
My Art Studio in Galway City: An Open Invitation
My art studio is based just off Eyre Square in Galway City
My art studio is based just off Eyre Square in Galway City. Recently, I hosted a studio open day, which was a really enjoyable experience. It was a chance for people to see my paintings and prints in person, and for me to meet people who were interested in my work and others who popped in off the street for a chat.
Many based in Galway City would have seen my murals around town, so it was nice to open the studio up to the public. During the open day, I was showing some recent paintings while also working away on other pieces.
People popped in to see my prints in natural light, and I talked about my process and shared paintings that I've been developing that have a lot more texture to them. It was a relaxed, informal setup and great to chat with everyone who popped in.
Studio Visits & Appointments
I plan to open my studio more over the next few months leading up into the autumn. If you are Galway City based or visiting Galway and would like to see my work-in-progress pieces and the colour of my paintings and prints in person in natural light, please drop me an email on my contact page to book an appointment.
Alternatively, you can reach out on social media if you are interested in chatting.
Follow My Work
Since you've read this far, if you are interested in my paintings and would like to stay in touch outside of social media, please join my mailing list! It's a more simple way to stay connected, where you'll hear about my next open day, future painting releases, and other studio news, away from the noise of social media.
Thanks for reading,
All the best,
Shane
